Get on Your Bikes and Ride

Bicycle races are coming your way so look for those beauties oh yeah! You can't stop the free spirit and the Diamondback! So, Elliott and I had a goal to ride our bikes to SLC since April. Why we waited till November....who knows.

We completed our 92 mile ride from Logan, Utah on the morning of the 8th around 7:00 a.m. We decided to go the Tremonton way which included 13 extra miles, foggy roads, lots of D.T.'s (dead things), frost in our hair, and a glorious over look!

Our adventure took us Southbound; peddling around small towns, unbusy streets, lots and lots of hills, and through the neverending drag of DUMB OGDEN! That place went on forever! Taking only a short scrumptious apple break, and lunch at Costa Vida (that we quickly scarffed down), we arrived in glorious SLC in a bit over 9 hours! Oh, the wonderful sightings of the capitol building, and Beck street never looked so good!! Besides sore knees and tired legs, we had no problems except for one small incident including a trip down the on ramp of 1-15! Who knew that 89 turned into the freeway??

Our bikes were victorious and my free spirit kept my legs a turning! I'm so glad we made it!!! Especially I'm greatful to Holly Jo for taking care of me afterwards and Cody Bell for giving me a ride back to Logan. My bum couldn't take any more! Finally thought, WE DID IT!! Cheers....

We're Missing Someone

Here we are the Woods kids. Now not so seperated by age...the big kids and little kids collide and actually become bestest friends! It seems that I'm not the only one who can't take a serious picture...JAKE! I love em all and love their little families that keep growing in number! We still are missing someone! Buster...where are you? I need you so I won't be the only single one in the family! Only 8 months...the final countdown begins....THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

TOU LEGS DEATH MATCH

Here are the finishers! Me, Elliott, Wools, and Daniel. 26.2 miles of complete bliss! Are you joking me? Why do I keep doing these crazy hoodrat things? I got around mile 19 and then just want to sneak in and pretend to be one of the volunteers passing out the drinks. Dan and Wools finished way fast in a time called 3:38 about!! Wowzers!

As for me and the pumpkin...we bolted across that finish line around 4:19! I'm glad we did it....and in costumes! Can you even believe we were the only two dressed up out of over 2500??
We have all recovered and decided that this running business just doesn't get old!

WEDNESDAY WALK

Alright so this picture doesn't even do justice....but we started this crazy thing last week called....everyone meet and walk at 8:15! We just wanted to see how many peeps we could get to walk with us...in honor of Hot Rod (I've never seen it). Ultimately it was a success!! We had over 45 people and everyone crammed onto the local CTV bus! We drove it around and cheered loudly. Maybe this could only be done by a bunch of white Mormon kids in Logan, Utah. Don't know if this will continue but once was CRAZY!

It's FRO YO TIME

Is taking a fro-yo break three times a week to much? (Fro-yo by the way is frozen yogurt from Maverick gas station) There are two stations close by but each being about 5 miles from my house. Scrapping on our scrapper bikes is the only way to get there, so I feel after my hard work I deserve a treat. The flavors change weekly and the best part is you can bottom out....fill your cone as high as you can allow!! LOVE IT LOVE IT!!

It BURNITH mine retinas

Friday night I was hanging out with my new cousins....actually my friend camie's cousins, but I decided to leave early and do other activites. Whilst I was away, a dead carcus of a skunk was left propped up on these cousins front door step. When the stench was discovered by the home owners all fingers and accusations pointed to the one not there...ME! Later that night I had the enjoyment of finding the pungent smell arising from under my little saturn. Those hoodlums decided to retaliate upon an innocent friend by placing the rotting animal on a rope tied to the back of my car! SO VILE!

And so it begins....

Alrighty, well I'm a bit new here! Never done this before, but with the help of Holly Jo and such slow day at work a blog was created! Jessie's blog...born March 20th, 2008 at 1:09 p.m. in the ORC Hospital. Delivered by Dr. Hackett!
